Close Encounters of the Pigeon Kind!

Being a courier I encounter  all sorts of situations and circumstances on the road that people sitting at their office desk rarely come across.

Today for instance driving along the A140 heading towards Great Yarmouth I was taking in the beautiful scenery and fragrance of manure when all of a sudden BAM!!!!!!!, a pigeon decided to land bang in the middle of my windscreen.

Being a professional driver this didn’t phase me in the slightest,during my deceleration I decided that the windscreen wipers should remove the offending bird, three wipes of the windscreen wipers and off it flew with the help of the wiper blades on its backside.

Fortunately there seemed little damage to the bird nor my windscreen but I pondered over the possibilities. If I had hit this bird harder what could have happened to the bird? my windscreen? or even my van?

I drove on happy that I had dealt with the incident efficiently.
