Packing tips for long term storage

With space at a premium, and the loft overflowing, more and more people are putting items into long term storage.

If you have established what type of access you need at your storage place, you will need to pack the things that you are most likely to need, last. This means they are at the front of the unit when you need them

Put a dust sheet on the floor before you unload your items onto it.

Put your most filled and heaviest boxes in first.

Store sofas and mattresses on their ends.

Stack safely back to front, and don’t put fragile items on the bottom and heavy boxes on top off them!

Make sure sharp blades of garden tools are covered, and make sure garden equipment is cleaned before storing.

We are happy to collect and deliver into both commercial and domestic storage units.
