How much does it weigh?
Today I have been on the phones dealing with customers and issuing quotes.
The first question I ask is what is it? and the second is how much does it weigh and what’s the dimensions?
Strangely enough, customers can be reluctant to say what it is they want us to collect and deliver. We ask quite simply because there are some things we are not allowed to carry or need specific licenses for.
The weight of an item is very important, we need to price the quote for the correct size vehicle. As our customer you don’t want to pay for a transit van when a bike delivery will suffice and you don’t want a small van for your 14 pallets of rice….
