With mobility being an important part of life, and independence we have noticed lately we are getting more enquiries about delivering these items of equipment.
So, we are adding mobility scooter assembly to our premium services as well. So if you order one these and we deliver it, we can also assemble it for you.
We are able to collect and deliver these items if they are already assembled. They are to heavy to go through the parcel network and risk damage this way, so they have to be dedicated delivery. We have heard of them being delivered through the pallet networks, but again they can get damaged in transit and may incur oversize charges.
As these can cost quite a lot in the first instance, so it’s important to check on the packaging before delivery. Damaged packaging can indicate the item is damaged inside, so check carefully.
If the scooter is unpackaged, then it can just be lifted into the back of the van by two people if they don’t have a tail lift vehicle, and then strapped and covered with felt blankets. Then delivered to your destination.
