Courier fails to find the correct address for passport delivery
I found this blog article rather interesting. When talking to a courier service, it is important to ask them what equipment (if any) that they use, what estimated times of delivery are, are you allowed the driver’s number?
Saving a fiver or a tenner on delivery will cost you more if it enables people to get loans and credit in your name.
The story of a Cheltenham man who had his passport delivered to a newspaper office by mistake has underlined the importance of couriers being able to find the correct address.
David Moreton’s passport was accidentally delivered to the Gloucestershire Echo office, placing him at risk of identity theft.
Mr Moreton places the blame firmly at the door of the delivery company after its courier failed to deliver the envelope to the correct address.
“I rang them to arrange a delivery to my office and got through to an automated system and told them the address,” Mr Moreton told thisisgloucestershire.co.uk.
“One of the things that’s most worrying is that I wouldn’t have worried about it for a couple of days, I would only have contacted the delivery people on Monday.

Delivering documents to the correct address, and gaining a signature for that item is very important. All the jokes about Sat Navs aside, they do help couriers find the correct location.
Luckily, this customer was thinking on his feet, and contacted the delivery company. I dread to think what would have happened if he hadn’t.
