Ethics and a same day courier business

Do ethics play an important role in a courier business? To us it does. As same day couriers it’s importanant that we establish our custoimers needs ands qualify if we can actually do their job for them. As I have said before there are some types of freight and cargo us couriers are not allowed to deliver, and we can help the customer source the right person for the job.

To us good customer service is helping the customer, even if it means passing the job to someone else.

Over the weekend I heard a story about a courier who charged people for express delivery but then put the item through the parcel services. Express and Parcel services are completely different types of service and to us, that’s not ethical. They were charged Express rates and got a parcel service and the courier company pocketed the difference.

Then there are the customers who want to have items delivered expressly but only pay parcel rates. Because they don’t understand the services. On our website we have a description of courier services form Same day to white glove, so you can read the difference.
