Parcel arrives at B&B Andalucia in time for Christmas!

by Sarah Arrow on December 23, 2008

Our dear friend Amanda Hamilton, owner of the most amazing guest house / B&B in Andalucia has finally received her parcel with her son’s Christmas present inside. :-)

Since we have started we have yet to lose a parcel, and it was horrible to think that we would lose something now! Our 100% success rate at delivering things would no longer be there :-(

Amanda and I did some detective work, but it all fell flat at the UK end when they (ParcelForce) changed the parcels tracking number it made things more difficult. They were spectacularly uncommunicative at this end!  Amanda managed to find out that the parcel had arrived in Madrid 12 days after it had left England  (did it swim there? ;-) ) and would eventually be delivered today or tomorrow.

When she collected it it was intact, but the wrapping was shredded. Over the last 4 days we have looked into all the options and had thought the parcel was stuck in Spanish customs, but it appears that the problem was in the UK, and not in Spain. Well done to the Spanish postal system for getting it right. I shall be speaking to ParcelForce to get the facts as to why a three day service to Spain actually took 14 days… it may not sound a lot but at times like Christmas – timing is crucial.

I hope Zack loves his present and gets much enjoyment from it. Merry Christmas to all at Casa La Celada, we hope you all have a fantastic time.

Sarah & Kevin

Still delivering 100% successfully – parcels, packages and presents.

Sarah we are just so thrilled that it’s arrived – I knew that you wouldn’t let us down – your record is legend and for that reason we asked you to help … it just goes to show that no matter what an excellent service we, the “little people” offer, still the big guys can mess it up for us from time to time!

Meantime we can relax and enjoy Christmas before revving up for a full house over the Spanish major celebrations of Three Kings on the 6th January – it’s party til dawn in Andalucia!!
