Business Scene Essex, our recent event

Last Wednesday was the last Business Scene Essex event for 2009. We were expertly hosted by Mercedes Benz at Lakeside, and the refreshments were supplied by BT Tradespace.

We had to excellent speakers for the event, Baiju Solanki, who spoke about goals in sport and business. He made some excellent points about fixed goals and working towards them. The Sports world loss of Baiju is the Business worlds gain, and what a gain we made.

We also heard the wise words from Alan Stevens, the media coach. His talk about twitter put it into a new perspective for many people, and the feedback regarding both speakers was excellent.

We didn’t do our planned hookup with Essex, Massachusetts due to staff shortages. Maybe this will take place at the next event.

A big thanks goes to Katherine Davison from Epiphany training, who helped me co-ordinate the event. Quite simply all our daughters are born in September and October, so to plan an event at the same time as the birthday celebrations was a bit of a crazy idea! Also thanks to Ian Hendry from WeCanDo.biz who helped to market the event through his CRM package (this is something well worth checking out)!

Look forward to organising some more great multi network events in 2010.
