Sealines are among the leading powerboats in the world and come with features such as a power sunroof, a bathing platform and LCD television. So imagine splashing out 200k to buy one, and then the delivery men sink it in 15 feet of water just before it gets to you…

Delivering a boat, a luxury one included, can be done safely by land. Only last week I delivered two boats for very happy customers, although I have no idea of the value, in these cases the customers insured the boats themselves for delivery.
I cannot imagine why the company thought to deliver the boat by sea, perhaps it was a cost saving exercise that didn’t pay off? Most likely they thought it was too big to go by land, although I have seen yachts being towed quite neatly, with no trouble.
“They stopped to refuel the boat at Falmouth, Cornwall, at 5.45am, and crashed it minutes later after hitting sharp rocks at Zone Point near St Anthony’s Head.
The two men scrambled to safety on nearby rocks and watched the vessel, named Seaworks, slowly sink, with a split hull.
Lifeboat crews and coastguards attempted to drag the 37ft vessel onto a beach but it had already filled with water and was abandoned to the sea.” Source : The Telegraph
When times are tough, people look to save money in many areas in particularly the transporting of items, but for precious items it can be a false economy. Think twice in future is my advice to the company who thought this was a good option, a short term saving may cost you far more in the long run.
