Delivering Garden Furniture

This is the time of year people start sorting out their sheds and garages and putting items of unwanted garden furniture on Ebay or in Freecycle.

Garden furniture can be easy to deliver when it’s packaged, but when its ex demo goods or second hand it becomes more awkward.

One of the factors can be weight, stone tables and benches can be very heavy and need a two man team to get it onto the vehicle. Each vehicle has its maximum weight capacity, and while lt it may fit into a small courier van, it may be making the vehicle overweight.

Another factor can be fragility, an item such as a garden swing may be fragile and awkward to deliver,  it can be delivered with ease unassembled but when it’s intact, then more thought is needed. Large terracotta pots are popular, but when delivered via a pallet network there is always the risk of damage to take into account.

When getting a quote for garden furniture delivery, it’s helpful to have a picture to send by email so the transport manager can visualise and see how it will fit (dimensions are always helpful, but we appreciate some people don’t always have them to hand).

Often even if the garden furniture is packaged, it can be very expensive to deliver as the size of the boxes may be over the size that parcel carriers take.

IF you have any questions about a courier delivering your garden furniture, then please give us a call.
