If you have bought a new washing machine, delivery is fairly easy, aside from the awkwardness of getting it in the home, a professional courier has sack trolleys or dolly’s and can easily move it around. With a tail lift vehicle and well trained staff, the need for a two man team delivering these white goods is no longer essential.

If collecting and delivering a secondhand washing machine from ebay or freecycle, you need to secure the drum before loading and unloading. Sometimes the previous owner will have kept the transit bolts, and they are the right thing to secure the drum with. This is not essential but advisable, it prevents damage and increases the longevity of the machine.

Whilst doing the research for this post I came across this picture and this youtube video, it certainly made me smile

But you still need two men teams to deliver when you use a motorbike!
