When time is money, what do you use your courier for?

Many companies and organisations use a courier service to shuttle items across the county and deliver freight or cargo from one of their branches to another. Couriers have other uses to.

Sensitive documents and time critical information such as contracts are expertly delivered by couriers. Of course a staff member can deliver such items but you risk wasting time and money

You may be thinking “Bank/ post office not very far, get  the receptionist to do it or one of the admins, they can do it…” Sure, the phone may get unprofessionally answered to your  potential new customer, no biggie but you having a staff member drive their own vehicle to the bank / post office / customers office could cost you big time – corporate manslaughter anyone?

(please see H&S and couriers blog for more details)

One thing a many business people do not realize is that a courier service can help reduce many of your day to day tasks for you as well freeing up more time for you to concentrate on the things that matter in your business.

Some of the things that a courier can do for you include

  • paying your bills at the post office
  • going to your bank and making cash or cheque deposits
  • getting and delivering tickets to a show or a sports event
  • Collecting your passport
  • Collecting your luggage at the airport

When you are feeling stressed out and overwhelmed at work, think about using a courier service to help reduce some of the more mundane tasks that have to be done yet take up so much of your valuable time. When time is money, you could be making more by getting someone else to do the time consuming jobs.
